She attended Lock's Creek A. M. E. Zion Church, and Falling Run Baptist Church. She later joined New Zion Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she served as a faithful member, an Usher, and as Treasurer for the Usher's Board, as well as a member of the Kitchen Committee. She was a loving and personable person and was concerned for others.
Her son, Harold Allen, Jr., passed Oct. 20, 2006, and is buried a few graves from hers.
