James Wright fought in World War I. When he returned to civilian life he became a railroad engineer. He marrried Agnes Jackson of Ballston Spa, New York in 1907. Together they had four children, William, George, Louise (Betty), and James Jr. He brought his family to Miami during the land boom of the 1920's where they prospered and lived throughout the remainder of the Twentieth Century.
