Second Lieutenant Thomas Gerald Booth, United States Army was born 31 March 1948 in Monroe, Union County, North Carolina.

He was killed in a head-on collision when a Ken's Tire truck struck his Corvette on Secrest Short Cut road on 3 July 1978. The truck driver's name was Craven Oxendine, Jr.

The Soldiers and Commanding Officers who served with him, still honor and remember this young man today.
