James S. LAWSON died on Sun. morning, Oct 14, 1888, at 10:30 am, James S. is the son of Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Lawson, aged 3 yrs, 5 mo. & 29 days, of membranous croup. Little "Bubbie," as he was known, had been suffering some with croup for a week prior to his death but had been up and around most of the time until Sat. afternoon when he began rapidly growing worse and in spite of the efforts the family, friends and physicians, his little soul passed into the great beyond. The funeral services were conducted by Elder I. R. Hall at the Baptist Church Mon. morning, after which the remains were interred to the Odd Fellows' Cem.
