Mrs. Elizabeth Applegate, 58, wife of Harry A. Applegate and mother of Dr. William A. and Attorney Walter M. Applegate, died at her home, 180 Cedar avenue, at 4:10 p.m. yesterday following a two-month illness.

Born in Hickory township, Mrs. Applegate spent nearly her entire life here and her death comes as a deep shock to the entire community.

She was born Oct. 23, 1877, the daughter of the late John and Margaret Tennant McDonald. She was a member of the Central Christian church, the Eastern Star and the White Shrine.
