She came to America when but six years of age, her early life being spent in Mentor. Graduation in Hiram College under the tuiton of the late President James A Garfield.
On March 4, 1862, she was united in marriage with Albert Bartholomew of Perry, with whom she had resided in Madison and Perry ever since. To this union were born four children, her son, Kelsey and daughters, Mrs. Melvin (Roberta) Keener and Mrs. Louis C. (Grace) Peckham, residing in Perry and one daughter, who lives in Oregon.
Mrs. Bartholomew was a faithful wife, a devoted mother, a kind neighbor and a most estimable Christian lady, having been for many years a devoted member of the Perry Church of Christ.
