Roy Neely Bledsoe, part Choctaw Indian. Born October 8, 1911 in Bryan County, Oklahoma. He was the son of Mary Neely and Elery Noel "Doc" Bledsoe. He and his brothers were orphaned at an early age. His first wife was Delia Mae Townsend married on September 11, 1933 at Silo, Bryan County, Oklahoma. He served in the US Army in WWII and was discharged October 30, 1946.

After WWII he lived in San Diego County, California until his death and is buried with his second wife.
