Elijah Matthew Aschbrenner, age 10, of Concord went to be with Jesus, surrounded by his loving family on November 10, 2015 at his Elijahhome.
Survivors include his father Matthew Donald Aschbrenner (Jamie Knebel); mother Rebecca Hanson Hughes; step-father, Bill Hughes; grandparents Larry and Kathie Aschbrenner, Larry and Evelyn Hanson and Sue Hughes; and great-grandmother Dorothy Grimm; Aunt Julie “Ree”, Uncle Kris; Uncle Pleasant; brother Samuel; step-siblings, Lauren, Noah, Justin, Veronica, Delynn and Sofia.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Prayers for Elijah Foundation, PO BOX 5011, Concord, NC 28027. This foundation was set up in Elijah’s name to help other families with a pediatric cancer diagnosis.
A private memorial service will take place in the chapel of James Funeral Home. This service will be officiated by Thaddeus Bullard AKA WWE Star Titus Oneil.
A “celebration of the Days of Elijah” will be held at a later date.
