Lindsay is survived by her husband, Richard Charles Richardson Cathcart Sr., and her two children, Eliza Lindsay Cathcart and Richard Charles Richardson Cathcart Jr., all of West Columbia; her parents, Ronald and Jane Hightower of Lexington; her brother, Wells Hightower of Lexington; her niece, Katherine McDevitt; her nephews, Samuel McDevitt, Jack Cathcart, and Manning Cathcart, all of Greenwood; her uncle, Lindsay Wells and his wife, Michelle, of Cary, NC; and her aunt, Gulie Hightower Molkenthin and husband, Peter, of Indiana; and a host of other family and friends.
Lindsay was the granddaughter of the late Margaret and Bill Wells of Greenwood, and the late Avery and Edith Hightower of Ridgespring.
Born in Columbia, SC, she was a graduate of Lexington High School, the University of South Carolina, and the USC School of Law. She was employed at the Office of Research Compliance at USC.
A memorial service will be held at Mt. Hebron United Methodist Church, West Columbia, SC.
