Joseph C. Kurtz, 76, Blaine, Kansas died
Thursday October 16, 1997, at a Topeka,
Kansas hospital.
Mr. Kurtz farmed northwest of Blaine,
all of his life.
He was born June 23, 1921, in Lillis, Kansas
the son of Wesley and Edna (Martin) Kurtz.
He was married to Irene Jeffries on December
30, 1965, in Marysville, Kansas.
She survives
Other survivors include two brothers,
Raymond Kurtz, Frankfort, Kansas and
David Kurtz, Blaine, Kansas; and two sisters
Alice Swoboda, Frankfort, Kansas, and
Nellie Hunter, Auburn, Kansas.
Services were at 2:30 p.m. Monday, October
20, 1997 at the Padden Funeral Chapel in
Frankfort, Kansas.
Music was provided by Eunice Samuelson,
pianist and Steve Gleason soloist.
Pallbearers were Larry Hofman, Frank
Suther, Pat O'Shea, Gary Brooks, Jim
Jeffries and Ted Forst.
Burial was in Frankfort Cemetery,
Frankfort, Kansas.
