Janet Marie Gunyan, 77, of Rock Springs passed away Oct. 28, 2008, at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County. She had been a lifelong resident of Rock Springs. She was born July 3, 1931, in Rock Springs, the daughter of the late Gilbert and Aili Matiliaen Roberts. Gunyan attended school in Rock Springs. She married Jack Gunyan in Rock Springs on Sept. 12, 1947, and they were married 61 years. Her interests were spending time with her family. She enjoyed crocheting afghans, tablecloths and doilies. She also loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting. She was preceded in death by her parents; three children Danny, Edward and Virginia. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, at Vase Funeral Chapel, 154 Elk Street in Rock Springs. A parish rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Vase Chapel. Interment will be in the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery.
