Obituary:
Frank Bullard, 95, 2804 S.E. Courtney, Milwauke, died Thursday at the Oregon City Hospital. Funeral will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Holman-Hankins-Rilance Chapel, the Rev. Horace Bachelder officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
Born at Allentown, PA Oct. 12, 1872, Mr. Bullard came to Clackamas County with his parents at the age of nine, and had lived in this area ever since.
He worked on the early steamboats between Portland and Astoria and Corvallis during his youth, was sexton at Mt. View Cemetery, farmed and worked in the paper mill. For many years he assisted his son-in-law and daughter, the Karl Hartkes, in operating the Oregon City Greenhouse.
Mr Bullard's wife, Laura died in 1959. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Edith Hartke and Gladys Selby, Milwaukie; a grand-daughter, Mrs. Glen (Dorothy) Alsman, Portland; a grand-son, Carl Selby, Lake Oswego; five grand-children and two great-grand-children; and a number of nieces and nephews.
