Child of George N. Usher and Irene Rebecca Vanatta. Hazen Hinkley Coop and Pearl Etta Usher were married on August 5, 1905 at Brush Prairie, Clark Co., Washington.

Pearl Coop of 408 Lawton Rd. in Oregon City died Sunday morning in a local hospital. She was 88.

She was born in Brush Prairie, WA on Oct. 11, 1884. Oregon City had been her home for the past 59 years.

Her husband, Hazen Coop, passed away in 1958. Roy Coop, a son, was killed two weeks ago in an industrial accident.

The funeral will take place on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Holman-Hankins Mortuary. The Rev. Leo Epperson will preside at the ceremony, and burial will follow in the Mt. View Cemetery.

The family has asked that friends make contributions to the Oregon Heart Fund in lieu of flowers.

Survivors include three sons, Wilfred Coop, Canby; Elbert Coop, Oregon City; and Orville Coop, Malin, OR; four daughters, Gladys Saum, Burns, OR; Pansy Bullard, Hazel Sajovic and Frieda Felix, all of Oreogn City. Also suriviving Mrs. Coop is Lester Usher, Portland, a brother, and Jennie Austin, Vancouver, WA, a sister, and 18 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Her Son - PFC Stanley Charles Coop passed away Aug. 22, 1944 and is burried in Florence, Italy.
