Obituary
Charles Arthur Lawson, age 71, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2013. He was born on March 3, 1942 in Superior, Arizona.
Charles proudly served in the UNITED STATES NAVY, as a NAVAL ENGINEER, aboard the USS PINE ISLAND(AV-12) from 1959-1965.
In 1964 he became enchanted by a beautiful woman whom he married, and her little girl who he took as his own. Their family would later be completed when their second daughter and finally a son was born.
He lived a full and adventurous life, filled with fishing, camping, and hunting. He spent his days taking care of business and his spare time working in the garage. He was a mechanic, carpenter, welder, musician, and a teacher. Retired from the city of Phoenix and Rural Metro Fleet Fire Department. His family will forever remember him playing old country songs on his guitar around the camp fire, surrounded by family and friends.
Charles is survived by his wife of 49 years, Katherine Lawson, sister Patty Height, daughters Debby and Shelly and son Daniel, 12 grandchildren; Sherae, Krystal, Ashley, Tyler, Joshua, Dillion, Shelby, Zachary, Shaileigh, Marissa, Alaina and Connor. 10 great-grandchildren; Anthony, Julian, Emma, Jasmine, Abbiegale, Waylon, Jayda, Harper, Ella, and Gage who our Papa has joined in heaven, and loyal four legged companion Mariah.
