Michael was born September 2, 1950 in Odessa, Texas; the son of Ray H. Campbell and Lenora (Young) Campbell. He grew up in Hobbs, N.M. and moved to Artesia in 1973.
On Dec. 16, 1969 he was married to Brenda Elwell in Seminole, Texas.
He was a pumper for Burnett Oil and owned Campbell Drilling and drilled water wells for many years. He attended West Main Baptist Church, enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved his family dearly. He was a second Dad to many kids through the years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son-in-law Mark Hull, and a nephew Robby Young.
