Funeral services for Lillie Mae Hess, 96, of Copperas Cove will be at 10 a.m. today at Robertson Avenue Baptist Church in Copperas Cove with Pastor John Mailey officiating. Burial will follow at Copperas Cove City Cemetery. Mrs. Hess died Aug. 8, 2010, at her home.
She was born March 9, 1914, in Tyler to Rufus and Minnieola Martin. She was a longtime member of Robertson Avenue Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Hess, whom she married in 1949; her parents; sisters, Marie Maynard of Las Vegas, Nev., and Ruth Fellabom; three brothers, George Martin, Robert Lee Martin and Simeon Thomas Martin.
Survivors include her son, Calvin Lee Hess of Phoenix, Ariz.; sisters, Beulah McCaghren of Willis, Ivy Lou Dodson of Penelope; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
