Somber was given to us when she was five years old by a work friend. She was AKA Registered, but her first family never got to show her because when she was about 6 months old, she was running through a field and stabbed a stick in her eye. (Poor little girl.) So that left her blind in that eye. She didn't seem to think that there was a problem.
She was the sweetest little Sheltie. Loved chasing the soccer ball all over the back yard. All the while yapping at it. As she grew older she slowed down quite a bit. And her back seemed to hurt her. The vet said that she had arthritis in her spine. It got to the point that she was in a lot of pain and had trouble walking. Sure was sad to let her go, but it was best for her. She sure is missed.
