Singer was kind of special. We didn't adopt her, she adopted us. She showed up at our house one day in 2002. We fed the strays, so just added her in. She got so everytime we went outside, she would come just a running, all the while it sounded like she was trying to purr and meow at the same time. That is how she got the name 'Singer'. She became pregnant. and one afternoon when I got ready to leave for work, she ran in the house. Never been in the house before. So I knew the babies was due. Fixed her several places in the family room to have her babies. When I got home that night, there was 3 babies. So we raised the 3, found them homes. Got Singer spayed and shots. And she became one of our permanent indoor fur babies. She was #7 to stay inside. She was a tiny kitty, but everyone soon learned that she was boss. But still a sweetheart.
Last year she was in kidney failure. Got her through that & then she got cancer of the spleen & it migrated into her bone marrow. It took her pretty fast. We are devistated. Loved her so much and it is so hard being without her. But she is no longer suffering. And we will meet again someday.
