Frank Alford of Boulder died Monday, Aug. 19, 2002, at his home. He was 57. Cause of death is pending coroner's investigation.
The son of Arthur Alford and Eunice Alford, he was born Aug. 1, 1945, in Compton, Calif. He lived in Boulder for the last 18 years. He earned a bachelor's degree in physics from the University of Colorado. He did volunteer work at the CU physics lab.
Survivors include a cousin, Francis Ohlman of Compton.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Chinook Clubhouse, 1441 Broadway, Boulder. Interment will be at Green Lawn Cemetery in Berthoud. Contributions may be made in his name to the Frank Alford Fund, in care of the Boulder County Mental Health Center, 1333 Iris Ave., Boulder, CO 80304. Howe Mortuary of Boulder is in charge of arrangements.
