Martin T. Jensen, Jr., Stanberry, Mo., died Wednesday, January 14, 2009.
He was born December 4, 1930 east of Clyde, Mo., the son of Martin and Josephine Kimet Jensen, Sr.
On January 16, 1952, he married Teresa Schwebach in Conception, Missouri. She survives of the home.
The family moved to the farm north of Stanberry on Rt. B where Jr. lived until 1979 when he moved into Stanberry. Jr. was a farmer and a cattle man. In 1983 Jr. started working for the Opportunity Workshop until he retired in December of 1992. When he retired he helped his nephews, Richard and Phillip Jensen as carpet layers until his stroke in July of 1997.
Junior was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church of Stanberry and a member of the Knights of Columbus 4388 Chapter.
Survivors in addition to his wife; children; Diana (Earl) Wilmes, Ravenwood, Mo., Nadine (David) Parmenter, Lake Viking, Mo., Mary Jo Sturm, St. Joseph, Mo., Teresa Ann (David) Godsey, Ravenwood, Norma (Doyle) Brant, St. Jospeh, and Joseph Martin Jensen, Stanberry; sisters; Martina Swinford, Margeretha Talmadge and Marie Schwebach, all of Stanberry, Madonna Strueby, Guilford, Mo., Marcella O'Bannon, North Glenn, Colorado; 16 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 17, 2009, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Stanberry.
