Giovanni Dinuci. Committed by E. W. McKinstry Judge of San Francisco October 2nd 1868. Age 32 years; native of Italy; single; has been in California 9 months; was last from Italy; occupation, laborer. The evidence of insanity is he frightened every one - wanted to kill himself and now wishes to kill himself - does not now eat or drink; is in constant state of agitation - moaning and muttering to himself - sleeps little. This attack appeared 2 months since - is not the first attack; disease increasing with no rational intervals; has no insane relations; has been temperate; has not suffered from disease or injury; cause of insanity unknown, supposed to be masturbation; class, mania - no treatment.
- Condition of patient when received about the same as represented in above abstract of commitment.
- Admitted October 3rd 1868. Has no property. Died October 9th 1868 by Suicide. He eloped Oct. 8th and was found on the morning of the 9th hanging by the neck in a barn near the French Camp road.
