Hayretten "Hayri" Cangurel was born in Kargi, Turkey and was the son of Mehmet and Havva Gocmenogullari. He married Vuslat Suzan Temizer. Prior to his marriage, he changed his last name to Cangurel. Hayri was an engineer all his life for the railroad, living in several cities throughout Turkey. He was a man devoted to his family, an extremely hard worker, and was a friend to many. Hayri died of complications from Parkinson Disease at Istanbul, Turkey. He and Suzan had three sons: Melih, Metin and (Mustafa) Cetin. Hayri is buried next to his son, Cetin.( Bio by Melih Cangürel)
