He was the son of Harmon Husbands and Lucinda Arrena "Reen" (Randolph) Alexander and married Mary Etoile Moore - 28 Oct 1908 - Bedford Co., Tennessee.

Lee Woodruff Alexander, aged 63 years, died at the Lincoln County Hospital Friday morning, March 19, 1943, at 10 o'clock, after a four weeks' illness. He was the son of the late Harmon H. and Renn Randolph Alexander. He spent his entire business life in the insurance business in this county and was among the most prominent men of the town. He was a member and an officer of the Missionary Baptist Church and was very active in its welfare and progress. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Etoile Moore Alexander; a daughter, Mrs. Stanley Bingham of Shelbyville; one son, Harold Alexander of Fayetteville; one sister, Mrs. J. A. Stewart of Fayetteville; five brothers, H. B. Alexander of Nashville, Lawson Alexander of Atlanta, Georgia, Smith Alexander, George Alexander, and Knox Alexander of Fayetteville. Funeral service was held at the residence Saturday morning, conducted by the Rev. P. L. Ramsey. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
