Husband of Clare.

Peter and Clare's daughter Janet married Eugene Bowman and are buried next to Peter and Clare.

From the Burrton Grit dated Oct. 31, 1907 and the Burrton Graphic dated Nov. 1, 1907: "Peter McGeachy of Patterson departed to visit his old home in Campbelton, Scotland where he will spend the winter visiting relatives and the surviving friends of his boyhood days. He has been away from that country forty-five years and will no doubt find many changes."

From the Burrton Tribune Consolidated, Jan. 13, 1916;

"Mr. Peter McGeachey was born in Southend, Scotland, in Argyleshire in February 10th, 1847. He came to this country June 19, 1862. He homesteaded his place, March 4, 1871, on which place he resided until his death, which occurred on January 9, 1916, aged sixty-eight years, eleven months and twenty-nine days. He was baptised into the Presbyterian church when a child in which faith he lived until his Heavenly father said, "come home."
Mr. McGeachey was a pioneer settler in Harvey county. He went through the hardships of the early days in Kansas. He was here before and during the grasshopper year when the hoppers devoured all green vegitation and left nothing for the people to live upon. During these hard times he gave of his scanty substance to help his suffering neighbors; he was always ready and willing to help those in need.
He helped to build the Sante Fe R. R. from Newton through Burrton and helped to make Harvey County what it is today. Mr. McGeachey was a good neighbor, always ready to accomodate his neighbors, and a kind and loving husband. His wife preceded him to the better world ten years since which time he has lived with his niece and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Bowman, who reside on the old homestead.
The funeral sermon was preached at the residence by Rev. J. Kelley assisted by Rev. Southall, pastor of Patterson Baptist church."
