"Mrs. Peter McGeachey, who had been in ill health for a number of years, died at her home in Lake township at midnight, Monday night. The deceased was of Quaker parentage, was born in Philadelphia, July 24, 1847 and came to Kansas and Harvey Co. in 1874.
The funeral was held from the late home near Patterson was largely attended by sympathetic friends and neighbors. The interment took place in Star Cemetery Tuesday. She leaves a husband, one daughter, and seven grandchildren to mourn her taking away."
