Martha Ann Akers, 65, of Crossville, passed away Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015, at Cumberland Medical Center.
She was born Aug, 26, 1949, in Cullman, AL, the daughter of the late Virgil Lee Caldwell and Theola Pauline (Haynes) Caldwell. She worked as a restaurant cook and was a member of the Community Independent Freewill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Kay Miller (Paul) of Crossville and Stacey Murray (Jerry) of Crossville; brother, William Caldwell (Michelle) of Cullman, AL; sisters, Judy Hudson of Hanceville, AL, Shirley Karl of Cullman, AL, Margrett Cassell (Rick) of Stow, OH, Linda Brooks (Lonnie) of Cullman, AL, Cathy Hodo (Ricky) of Foley, AL, Terri Hall (Jimmy) of Akron, OH, Tona Lashley (David) of Pleasant City, OH and Sharon Gable of Springville, AL; step-father, W. S. Russell; grandchildren, Jonathan Miller, Zack Miller, Christy Miller, Misty Rupe, Kevin Miller, Katie Myers, Cassie Myers, Bryson Cooper, Jerry Murray, April Ashburn and Amber Murray; great-grandchildren, Jake Mullis, Emily Mullis, Payton Miller, J. Pallbearers were J. J. Miller, Kevin Miller, Paul Miller, William Caldwell, Jerry Murray and Darrell Moore. Alternate pallbearer was Jon Miller.
