1984 Obituary:
Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan 7 at 11 am in the Kaysville 2nd LDS Ward Chapel for Mrs Dorothy Wakley Bingham 76, of 69 S 200 E, Kaysville, who died Tuesday, Jan 3, 1984 in the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City of respiratory failure.
Mrs Bingham was born Jan 31, 1907 in Logan, a daughter of Charles Henry and Catherine Elizabeth Anderson Wakley.
She married William Tyler Bingham on Sept 4, 1944 in the Logan LDS Temple.
She was reared in Downey, Ida., and returned to Logan where she completed her high school and college education.
She received a bachelor's degree from Utah State University and a master's degree from the University of Southern California. She began her teaching career in Parowan, Utah. The following year she moved to Preston, Ida. and after 10 years returned to Utah where she taught in Park City, Ogden and Davis High School. She retired in 1972 after 40 years of teaching.
She was a member of the Kaysville 2nd LDS Ward. She served in many positions, including Sunday School teacher, stake Mutual Board member and Stake Relief Society board member.
She was a member of the AAUW (American Association University Women) and Delta Kappa Gamma.
Surviving are her husband of Kaysville and one son. William Tyler Bingham Jr., of Clinton and three grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs Mildred W Meikle, Ogden and Mrs Elizabeth W Holmgren, Bear River City.

Bishop L D Covington officiated at the funeral service. Burial was in the Logan City Cemetery.
Funeral was under the direction of Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary.
Family prayer was given by Bishop Allen Meikle: prelude and postlude music, Ione Grange; I Love You Truly by Christine Deppe, invocation, Pres, James A Meikle, Jr.; remarks, Bishop L D Covington; A Perfect Day by Christine Deppe; speaker Bishop Cleve M Dibble; organ solo, Ione Grange; benediction, Spencer Holmgren. Dedication of the grave was by William T Bingham Jr with interment in the Logan city Cemetery. Pall bearers were William T Bingham Jr, James Allen Meikle Jr, Paul Holmgren, Charles Holmgren, Spencer Holmgren, Nathan Tyler Bingham and Ralph Charles Wakley Jr.
