Charles Ferol Fulmer, 73, of Malvern, formerly of Conway, died Monday, March 29, 2010.

Charles was born Nov. 9, 1936 in Conway, to the late James Ferol and Troy Lea (Irby) Fulmer.

He is also preceded in death by a sister, Katherine Roth.

Mr. Fulmer served in the United States Army.

He retired from the North Little Rock Police Department after 20 years.

After retirement, he worked for the Faulkner County Sheriff's Department and the Camp Robinson Police Department.

He was a member of the Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Malvern.

Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Charles is survived by his wife of 51 years, Phyllis Kratz Fulmer of Malvern; children, Donna Mayfield of Ft. Worth, Texas, Vickie Clements and husband Mark of Vilonia, and William Fulmer and wife Latasha of Conway; sisters, Betty Martin and husband Eddie of North Little Rock, and Joy Jackson and husband Eric of Jackson, Miss.; grandchildren, Matthew Isch, Adam Isch, Hannah Fulmer and Taylor Clements; and great-grandchildren Caitlynn Isch, Madeline Isch and Charlie Isch.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 1, in the Chapel of Griffin Leggett Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Donis Smead. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:30-8:30 p.m. tonight at the funeral home, 1751 Dave Ward Dr., Conway, Ark. 72034, 327-5000.
