Military graveside service for Jimmy Brown, 75, of Wills Point, is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2011, at Morrow Chapel Cemetery near Kaufman with Chaplain Pat Cooper officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.

He passed away Thursday evening, April 28, 2011, in Wills Point.

Jimmy was born July 23, 1935, in Pistol Ridge, Mississippi, the son of James William Brown and Bessie Jane French Brown. He was raised in Pistol Ridge. On December 19, 1958, he married Nannie Dodd in Terrell. Jimmy was a veteran of the United States Army, Air Force and Army National Guard. He proudly served our county, retiring after thirty years of service in 1983. He lived in Mesquite for eight years and Gatesville for fifteen years prior to moving to Wills Point thirteen years ago. Jimmy enjoyed hunting, fishing and working in his yard. He was very active in the Wills Point Youth Association. He was of the Baptist faith.

Preceded in death by his parents, James and Bessie Brown; several brothers and sisters.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Nannie Brown, of Wills Point; three sons, Jeff Brown & wife, Tina of Wills Point, John Brown & wife, Tonja of Wills Point and Jonathan Brown, of Wills Point; brother, Allen Brown & wife, Faye of Lumberton, Mississippi; three grandchildren, Michael Brown, Bobby Brown and Chase Kirkwood and four great-grandchildren, Kalee Brown, Chole Brown, Lilly Brown and Andelyn Kirkwood
