Anchorage resident Curt R. Harpham, 30, died Oct. 25 as a result of an airplane accident near Boise, Idaho. A funeral was held at the Chapel of the Chimes in Meridian, Idaho. Burial followed in the Joplin Cemetery in Boise.
Mr. Harpham was born May 9, 1962, in Boise, the son of Sam and Lois Dalrymple Harpham. He attended Meridian schools, graduated from Meridian High in 1980, then Boise State University in 1985 with a degree in aviation management. He was married to Lynda Gene Koll in November 1985 in Boise. He was employed by Micron and later Continental Airlines of Boise. He and his wife divorced in 1989. Mr. Harpham became a commercial pilot for Lake Meade Air Service out of Boulder City, Nev., and flew scenic tours over the Grand Canyon. In May 1989, he went to work with MarkAir Express as a commercial pilot and flew in Alaska as a bush pilot. He logged more than 4,500 flight hours during his career. Mr. Harpham enjoyed life, riding and racing motorcycles, hunting, fishing and Idaho. According to his family, he was a loving father, great son and wonderful brother who will be missed dearly.
Survivors include his daughter, Megan of Boise; his parents, Sam and Lois of Meridian; his sister, Tami of Anchorage; his paternal grandparents, Virgil and June of Boise; his maternal grandmother, Birdie Dalrymple of Boise; and many other relatives. The family suggests that memorials be sent to the Trust for Harpham Children, First Security Bank, Garden City Branch, 3301 Chinden Blvd., Garden City, Idaho 83714.
