Actress. Julia Anne Bovasso, best known as Julie Bovasso, was an American actress of stage, screen, and television as well a a Broadway director. Among her many movie and television roles, she is best known for John Travolta's mother in Saturday Night Fever and as Cher's aunt Rita Cappomagi in Moonstruck. Bovasso won the first Best Actress Obie award in the 1950s. She died of cancer in New York City, aged 61.
