Mellville Adelbert (Del). Andrews, son of Luther and Lydia Andrews, was born July 17, 1872 at Central City and died April 17 at his home in the Jordan's Grove neighborhood, after ,a lingering illness.

Mr. Andrews was 83 years and nine months of age at the time of his death. He was a life long resident of the Central City community and a member of the Jordan's Grove Baptist church, He was married to Nell E Wilkinson March 23, 1898. To this union, one son, Herbert L. Andrews was born, who survives. Mrs. Andrews died Aug. 31, 1902 . Mr. Andrews was united in marriage to Blanche Oakley Aug 29, 1923. To this union one son, Francis B. Andrews, and one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Minney, were born, who survive. Besides his children, he is survived by his widow; one sister, Mrs. Myrtle Goodlove, of Springville; two brothers, Walter S. Andrews of Central City and Claire Andrews of Marion and five grandchildren, as well as a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, April 19, today, at 4 p. m. in the Jordan's Grove Baptist church by the Rev. Carl Denning of Prairieburg. Mrs. Stuart Smith will be organist and Stuart Smith, soloist. Burial will be in the Jordan's Grove cemetery. Pall bearers are Otto Hansen, Franklin Moyer, Ernest Paul, Fred Egger, Arden Schulz and Verden Wear. Arrangements were by Passmore funeral home.
