Perry was the son of Jonathan Cook.
He married Mary Elizabeth Warren on Sept 15, 1876 at Carby's Corner, Springville, IA. Mary was born Mar 19, 1849, daughter of John Fletcher and Sarah Berger Warren.
Perry was a farmer near Central City.
They had 4 children: Chloia A; Leo H, Thad F and Floyd Garfield.
Perry served in the Civil War frm Jan 18, 1863 to June 21, 1865 and was honorable discharged as a private from Comp G, 14th Iowa Volunteer Infantry.
Mary died in 1933.
They are both buried at Jordan;s Grove Cemetery near Central City.
