Mr. Willie Dykes, age 26 of Mt. Vernon, passed away Saturday, August 18, 2012 at his residence. He was born in Somerset, KY on October 5, 1985 the son of William Jay and Winona Cromer Dykes. He was a logger and a member of Sinking Valley Baptist Church in Somerset.

He is survived by his parents: Jay and Winona Dykes of Mt. Vernon; his maternal grandparents: Keith and Victoria Cromer of Mt. Vernon; one daughter: Lydia Mink of Mt. Vernon and two sisters: Rebecca Dykes of Mt. Vernon and Regina and Gerardo Munguia also of Mt. Vernon; two nieces: Erika Munguia and Victoria Munguia and four nephews: Trent Smith, Joey Smith, Jon Jon Munguia and Nathan Munguia. Also surviving is Mr. Dykes fiancé: Shonda Bradley and her children: Holly, Samantha and "Bub". Mr. Dykes was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Comodore and Juanita Dykes.

The family has requested that any donations be made to Dowell & Martin Funeral Home for Mr. Dykes' funeral expenses
