Janie Lee Ballard of Little Rock died Friday, Sept 12, 2003. She was born Aug 11, 1945, in Bald Knob. She was the owner of Shepherd's Printing, Inc. She organized the Cedar Hill Terrace Property Owners Association and the Neighborhood Crime Watch. She was an avid member of the Master Gardeners Program in Pulaski County.

Janie was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Kenneth Ballard; and her father, Renard Connor.

Janie is survived by her mother and step father, Barbara and George Johnson of Searcy; her stepmother, Lucy Connor of Tuckerman; her brothers, Neil and his wife, Sharon, of Hitchcock, Texas, and Danny and his wife, Carol, of New Braunsfels, Texas. Janie will be missed by her many friends and neighbors - and especially her English bulldog, Gracie Mae.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22, 2003, at First United Methodist Church, 723 Center St., Little Rock. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Cemetery. Arrangements are by Roller-Chenal Funeral Home (224-8300).
