Samuel Albert was the husband of Mary Shirey. He enlisted Aug 28, 1862 during the Civil War. He served in Co. M 5th Pa. Cav. and attained the rank of Sgt. He was discharged May 19, 1865. He is buried in the Old Zion Cemetery at Disler Corners in Richland Township, in Venango Co. PA.
