On October 28, 1944, she married her husband Philip F. Anundson of Sheffield who preceded her in death on January 1, 2003.
She was also preceded in death by her brother Bill Chalman and a daughter Sally Louise Anundson in 1962.
Lorraine graduated from Edinboro State University in 1972 with a degree in school nursing and was employed as a school nurse for twenty years in the Warren County School District from which she retired in 1981. She was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church in LaPorte, Indiana and the Bethany Lutheran Church in Sheffield, PA.
She is survived by four children: Jim Anundson and wife, Eileen of Franklin; Elizabeth Watts and her husband Don of Warren; Sandra Lindberg and her husband Mark, of Sheffield; and Irene Pointon and her husband Doug of Edgemoor, South Carolina. Lorraine is also survived by six grandchildren; Kevin Anundson and his wife Julie of Franklin; Rick Anundson and his wife Cassie of Austin, Texas; Sara Nickerson and her husband Mark of North Warren; Sally Mamrowich and her husband Mark of Sheffield; Nathan Lindberg and his wife Stephanie of Sheffield; and Jessica Fortner and her husband Robbie of Farmville, VA; six great-grandchildren: Paige and Dylan Anundson of Franklin, Ben and Madysen Lindberg of Sheffield' Philip Nickerson of North Warren, and Kellan Fortner of Farmville, VA.
Florence experienced a rich and fulfilling life, especially enjoying and loving her family. Among other rewarding experiences were the times nursing at McNeal Memorial Hospital in Berwyn, Illinois; at Fairview Hospital in LaPorte, Indiana; and at Warren General Hospital in Warren. Serving as an industrial nurse at Allis-Chalmers Company in LaPorte, Indiana was also a highlight of her earlier years in nursing. It was, however, her association as school nurse with the students and faculties of the Warren County School District that formed her fondest memories.
