Funeral services for Edward G. Bauer, 58, a native of the Culbertson community who died July 4 at this home, 14653 East Rosecrans Avenue, La Mirada, Calif., were held Wednesday of last week at the Chapel of Memories in Norwalk, Calif., were in Norwalk, Calif. The Rev. Ellsworth A. Benedict, an Evangelical United Brethren minister, officiated at the services.

Mrs. Pllyanne Baxter, the soloist, sang "Be Still My Soul" and "Going Home," with organ accompaniment by Mrs. Robert C. Lingo. Interment was in Olive Lawn Memorial Park, La Mirada Calif. Pallbearers were the principal, vice principal and four teachers from Andrew McNally Intermediate School, where Mr. Bauer's wife is a member of the faculty.

Edward G. Bauer was born to Henry and Elizabeth Bauer in Culbertson, Neb., on Jan., 3, 1906. He was baptized in Zion Evangelical church, in the Culbertson vicinity. He was married to Eva Mae Taylor in Culbertson on June 16, 1926.

Mr. Bauer farmed near Culbertson for 36 years, and moved to California in 1962 because of failing health.

He is survived by his wife, Eva; two sons, Harold of Los Angeles, Calif., and Don of La Mirada, Calif., two daughters, Mrs. Donna Mae Simonian of Whittier, Calif., and Mrs. Jean Miller of Norwalk, Calif.; two brothers, Alfred of McCook, Neb., and Kenneth of Culbertson; and one siter, Mrs. Marie Strayer of Palisade, Neb. Eight grandchildren also survive.
