Greg Blackwood, 62, died Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at his home in rural Liberal.

He was born May 20, 1947, in Lubbock, Texas, to Beil Robert and Tinie Cozette Cash Blackwood.

On May 29, 1971, he married Michael Ann Buck in Stephenville, Texas. They moved from Hereford, Texas, to Garden City in 1976 and later moved to Seward County. A farmer and rancher, Mr. Blackwood enjoyed hunting, fishing, team roping with his son, visiting with people and spending time with his family. He was a member of Sublette Southern Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Shane Blackwood of Liberal; a daughter, Cynthia Diann Moree of Liberal; his mother, of Lubbock; a brother, Beil Rodney "Rod" Blackwood of Lubbock; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral was at Haskell County Fairgrounds Arena in Sublette. Burial was at Arkalon Cemetery in Liberal
