CUSHING - Seymour Defane Barrett, 66, died Tuesday at Cushing Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Turner Funeral Home, Yukon, with burial in Frisco Cemetery, near Yukon. Barrett was born near Yukon and moved to Cushing about six months ago from Oklahoma City, where he had lived since 1928. He was a retired electrician, a Mason and a Baptist. Survivors include his wife, Grace, Oklahoma City; a son, Jerry D., Oklahoma City; two daughters, Mrs. Wanda Hurley, Cushing, and Mrs. Gayle Cole, Norman; three sisters, Mrs. Pauline Chiles and Mrs. Maxine Radcliff, both of El Reno, and Mrs. Katheryn Earls, Shawnee; two brothers, Harold, Pampa, Tex., and Uriel, Shawnee; four grandchildren, and a great-grandchild. Memorial may be made to the American Red Cross Blood Bank in Cushing.
