Born 29 September 1879 in Terrell, Texas, and married CLARA McKELVY of Irene, Texas, on 13 December 1908. He was employed by International and Great Northern Railroad Company as an agent and telegrapher for several years. He resigned that position and went to Oklahoma where he was employed by Magnolia Petroleum Pipeline Company as Telegrapher until he retired in 1948, to his farm near Chandler, Oklahoma.
