Mrs Rebecca Ammons, widow of A F Ammons, deceased, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Nettie Myers of Carmichaels, Thursday evening, December 12, aged 90 years of infirmities incident to advanced years. About six years ago she fell and broke her hip and had since been confined to the house. Mrs. Ammons was a daughter of Mr and Mrs Selby Wade, deceased, and was born in this county, Jan 15, 1828, and was one of the oldest residents of the county. She was a member of the Presbyterian church and was an earnest christian woman. Her husband died about twenty years ago. She is survived by four children, Mrs. Nettie Myers of Carmichaels; Douglas Ammons of Waynesburg; Mrs. Mary Fox of Brock; F W Ammons of Iowa. Two brothers and one sister also survive, Hezikiah and Eugene Wade of Mt Morris, and Mrs. Viola Spitznagle of Spraggs. The funeral services were held Saturday afternoon. Interment in Muddy Creek Presbyterian Cemetery.
