"Out of the Past - 90 Years Ago - Starch Promoter Dies - Thomas W. Barnes, who lived in Lititz fourteen years ago with his family and promoted a corn starch industry here, was buried at Jacksonville, Fla., on Tuesday. He had been in bad health for some time.
He is survived by a daugher Mary and his wife. He was married twice, his first wife, who was known here, having died some years ago. After the corn starch factory failed he moved away, becoming wealthy in a ship building project during the war." Article provided by contributor Dana Dancy, 46998072.
