Mrs. Elizabeth Blackbird
One of Oldest Pioneers of County Passes Out.
After many years of suffering, Mrs. Elizabeth Blackbird passed away at her home on Main street at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon. Mrs. Blackbird was among the earliest settlers of this region.
She leave three sons, William, Fred and Bert Blackbird, of Harbor Springs, and one daughter, Mrs. Jeanette Scofield, of San Francisco, Cal. Her husband, Andrew J. Blackbird, passed away several years ago.
The funeral will be held from St. John's Episcopal church, of which she was a member, Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock fast time, Rev. Mr. McCormick officiating. Interment will be made in Lake View cemetery.
