Brooks - Frederic Berberich, 83, entered into eternal rest with his loving family surrounding him
on Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at Pioneer Memorial Care Center in Erskine.

Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 8, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church
in Brooks, with Father Tim Bushy presiding. Casket bearers included Greg Kostrzewski, Douglas Peterson,
Nathan Berberich, Ryan Wold, Jeremy Berberich, Cary Berberich, Chad Ste. Marie and Derek Gagner.
Honorary casket bearers included all friends and relatives. Interment was held at St. Joseph's Catholic
Cemetery in Brooks.
Frederic Arthur Berberich was born on August 12, 1921 in Popular River Township, the son of Frederic
and Margaret (Neid) Berberich. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Brooks
and attended Popular River Country School.

Frederic was united in marriage on November 10, 1945 to Delores Lessard in Oklee. He worked numerous
jobs, including building construction, road construction, American Crystal, driving truck for Brooks
Cheese Factory and Dan's Trucking, all the while grain and dairy farming.
He enjoyed visiting and being with his friends and relatives. Frederic loved spending time with his
grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He served on the Brooks Credit Union, St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Pioneer Nursing Home, Senior Citizens
Home Boards and was a member of the Catholic Order Of Foresters and St. Joseph Cemetery Board.

Frederic is survived by his wife, Delores; ten children, Ione (Clarence) Kostrzewski of Stephen, Jerry
(Roxanne) Berberich of Karlstad, Rose (Roland) Wold of Thief River Falls, Robert (Eleanor) Berberich of
Fargo, N.D., Mark (Sue) Berberich of Oklee, Charlene (Poncho) Gagner of Brooks, Karen (John) Larson of
Brooks, Anita (Jeff) Capp of Larimore, N.D., Vicki (Joe) Ste. Marie of Red Lake Falls and Randy Berberich
of Milwaukee, Wis.; 41 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Lessard of Hillsboro,
N.D., and Phyllis (Gene) Grinsteiner of Bismarck, N.D.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederic and Margaret; children, Jeanette, Roger and Jackie ; one
grandson; brothers, Leander, Aloysuis, Eugene, Vernard and infant brother, Joseph; sisters, Marie Abrams,
Orlean O?Malley and infant sisters, Lorraine and Loretta.
