Sir Leslie Patrick Abercrombie was a British architect and pioneer of town planning.
Brother of Lascelles Abercrombie, poet and critic.
He was professor of town planning at Liverpool University and University College, London. He is best known for his replanning of London post Second World War. The Abercrombie Plan produced the New Towns movement which included the building of Crawley, Harlow and Harold Hill.
He was knighted in 1945.
