English Surgeon and celebrated lecturer. In 1813 he was appointed surgeon to Christ's Hospital, in 1814 lecturer of anatomy to the Royal College of Surgeons and in 1815 full surgeon at St. Bartholomew's Hospital in London. He invented the Abernethy biscuit as a digestive aid to health.
