BRADLEY, JR., ROLAND EDWARD Roland Edward Bradley Jr, of Goldfield, NV, died on February 25, 2014 at the age of 70. Roland, the eldest of four children, was born April 29, 1943 in rural Jackson County, MI to Stanley and Helen Worth. Roland proudly served his country by serving in the United States Air Force for 26 years and retired from the Air Force as a Master Sargeant. Roland grew up in Jackson, MI and traveled around the world as he served in the Air Force, eventually settling in Goldfield, NV. Roland served 26 years in the United States Air Force. He became a Security Police Officer and Military Working Dog Handler and Trainer. Roland was stationed on U.S. Military Bases around the world including Guam, Okinawa, California, and New York. He served a tour in Vietnam near the end of the conflict securing U.S. Military Bases. Roland spent the last 18 years of his United States Air Force tenure at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX. His duties included training Military Working Dog Handlers and Police Officers. He became the Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge of the Security Police Military Working Dog Kennels located at the Medina Annex of Lackland Air Force Base. Roland is survived by his mother, Helen E. Worth of Jackson, MI and also two sons, Michael Bradley of Sarasota, FL and Allen Bradley of San Antonio, TX. He leaves three granddaughters, Brittany, Caitlyn, and Maighan Bradley and one grandson, James Bradley. Also surviving are three younger siblings, Leonard (Lynne) Worth, Karen (Larry) Perry, and Phyllis Moore, along with four nephews and five nieces. Roland was preceded in death by his stepfather, Stanley in 1994. A visitation for friends and family to honor Roland will be held at Wetherby FUNERAL HOME located at 402 Wildwood Ave, Jackson, MI on July 29th at 11 AM, followed by a short service at 11:30 AM. Directly following the service at 2 PM, a military burial ceremony will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery located at 15501 Dickman Rd, Augusta, MI.
