ALL VISITS ARE VERY APPRECIATED

This information is by a cousin of Caroline's. I want her to no that I am thankful for her kindness in sharing it. I don't no to much because I never got to meet her. I had only heard enough about her that she was special in some way to me. After reading more you may understand why.

My memories of Caroline
Contributed By: Kindred, Jalene · 23 November 2016·

I was only little when I knew Caroline. I just wanted to tell a few things about her that I remember. She was born premature as my Grandmother Nelda Smith told me. She was so small that she fit into a shoe box, and was kept on the oven door to keep her warm, and was fed with an eye dropper. She lived with her father and mother and grandparents until she was a teenager and then lived the rest of her life in care centers. She had many tragic experiences in her life. I remember that my grandmother and aunt used to visit her at the care center. I always felt she was the forgotten child by her parents. After her mother died, and when the new wife came it was more than the new wife wanted to deal with. Caroline through no fault of her own was attacked and bore a child out of wedlock. This daughter is alive as of 2010. I do not know if she was really ever aware of her real mother. Caroline would watch my brother and I at times, and she babysat for other family members as well. I have taken over my grandmother's family records as all of our direct line as passed for her side. I have many pictures of relatives and some of Caroline when she was younger and as I remember her and will post them. I would so love to know what other family members know about her in her later years, as I know some of them kept in touch with her.

Thank you for sharing your memories Jalene. That is very kind of you to do so. It is appreciated very much.
