His suggested wife was Sarah Potts
-------------------------------------
I've found a page in the Exeter Meeting Minutes, Berks County, for "James Lewis, son of Richard, and Sarah Potts, daughter of Thomas", page 204-205. These same minutes for Exeter Meeting also show "Joseph Walker, son of Lewis Walker & Mary Morris and Elizabeth Potts, daughter of Thomas Potts & Martha Keurlis", page 352-353. The names of both couples are listed alphabetically and indicate children with spouses. The title of the Minutes: Pennsylvania - Berks - Exeter Monthly Meeting - Genealogy of Berks. This is an important find in that the identity of Elizabeth (Potts) Walker has been known, but that of Sarah (Potts) Lewis has been speculated to be the daughter of David & Alice (Croasdale) Potts but without verification or documentation. These Minutes indicate otherwise and provide strong circumstantial evidence. There are several surveys for James Lewis in Robeson & Cumru Twps (1734, 1737 1738, 1740 and one posthumously in 1749 for sons James Jr and Richard Lewis), which also provides strong circumstantial evidence they are one and the same James Lewis. I will be more than happy to forward you a copy of the page of these minutes. Thank you. Claudia
